Synopsis

David Cain finally awakenes in a hospital after receiving a beating from Batman. The man guarding him has waited for this moment as he is looking for revenge because Cain murdered a leader of the Basque movement in Spain 15 years ago. But he makes the mistake to get too close to Cain who is able to take the gun away while still being handcuffed to his bed.  Cain is able to escape the hospital and makes his way into a bar. Talking to a woman, Cain makes up a story how he shot Batman although he already told her earlier that he got beaten up by the Dark Knight. Now Cain remembers that Batman left him only with the video discs showing his training of Cassandra Cain. He learns that they are kept as evidence at the new forensics lab in Gotham City, so Cain breaks in there to steal the video discs.   He is successful, but Batgirl is already waiting for him when he tries to escape over a rooftop. He swears he didn't kill anybody and begs to keep the discs. Batgirl hands them over to him and says 'bye.'
